Body Parts

Dad was a science buff. He loved to watch Cosmos. He enjoyed reading resources on astronomy. One of the things he also found fascinating was human anatomy. He would watch the TV show where they had live surgeries. But the most fascinating of all is when he questioned the way our own anatomy was designed. He would go on and on about the what ifs. What if our arm is where our eye was and our eye was where our belly button was. Mom was not amused by his hypothetical anatomical renderings. I, however, thought it was brilliant. He knew of course, this was our best design, as it was God’s design, but the what ifs certainly made sense. What if somewhere out there, there is a galaxy with the eyeball in the belly? Food for thought.
